Introduction to Iptim

Iptim (Integrated Planning for Timberland Management) is a timberland management planning software covering strategic needs throughout the planning process, from the valuation of a potential investment to the definition of silvicultural operations across the planning horizon. As a result, Iptim helps users create optimized plans which ensure a sustainable utilization of wood resources.

Iptim is delivered as a SaaS application (software as a service). The system is a desktop application that can be easily downloaded from the internet by the user and can be used right away.

Iptim contains various modules.

Project module

  • Management of sample plot inventory and stand data
  • Visualization of map data, and applying theme layers.
  • Summaries and relationships of data.

  • Modelling of height and volume inventory.
  • Calculation of taper curves.
  • Modelling of growth and yield.
  • Consideration of prices and management regimes

  • Creation of plans constituted by projects, data, models, prices, management regimes, constraints, overheads, and capital expenditures.
  • Comparison of various plans.
  • Projections of harvest volumes, income, cashflows, etc.
  • Operation lists for each stand.
  • Financial analyses including Net Present Value (NPV).
