18.12.2025 IPTIM Latvia regeneration limits changed
Regeneration maturity is determined by Latvian law. In IPTIM, regeneration maturity can be determined based on age or mean diameter of the stand. The following changes were made to regeneration mean diameter limits on 18.12.2025

20.8.2025 Changes to IPTIM Latvia input data handling
In the Latvian simulator, input data was previously assumed to be up to date. With this update, the inventory year (from column 'GTF' in Latvian forest data) is now used to define the data date as January 1st of the inventory year. This allows the current state to be adjusted with simulated growth when there is one or more growth seasons between the data date and the simulation date. Additionally current stock volume was previously derived from the volume values in the input data. With this update, the volume is now modelled using other forest attributes from the input data.
